Prenuptial Agreement / Expenses

Prenuptial Agreement / Expenses

Hand in hand with the provisions regarding how income is treated (sole and separate, % community property, or ????) is the question of how expenses will be paid for. There is always the issue of taxes and who pays them, which is tied together with the issue of whether or not or how much / what percentage of income is sole and separate and what is community property. Then there are the more mundane issues of utilities, food, and other miscellaneous expenses. Quite often, couples agree to establish one or more community accounts from which all community expenses may be paid, thus removing the issue of who is paying what.
